In the evening of 22nd March, international opportunities evening took place in Tartu Art House, organized by Lille Maja youth center. Seiklejate Vennaskond was represented by Kaidi, Karolina, Eliisa, Kristin, Käti, Kaur, Greete, Orvi and Heleri. Everyone shared their project stories and experiences from international projects.
There was totally 3 rooms - one for short lectures, other for experience sharing and a general fair area. Heleri made a short presentation about international opportunities in lecture area and Kaidi talked about her EVS experience in Portugal. Others shared their experience about projects in Romania, Turkey, Estonia, Poland, Italy and other places in fair area, in small conversations with youngsters. We enjoyed it, hopefully the participants of the event liked it, too! :) In February and March "Back to School" campaign took place in Estonia. That meant, that people of different professions shared their stories with youngsters. The idea was, that young people would have about either future plans either easier or more difficult choices take make after the lecture (depending on your point of view). Anyway, the idea was to share inspiration and fulfill the 45 minutes of time with emotions and sparkle up new ideas. Seiklejate Vennaskond, represented by Heleri and Kaidi, visited Tartu Hansa Gymnasium, and shared their stories with 3 different classes of 8th graders. Heleri shared her experience in discovering the world through adventure and Kaidi shared her one year EVS experience from Portugal. Seiklejate Vennaskond joins Estonian national agency for "Ideas into project" training near Tallinn16/1/2017
We joined training "Ideas into project" organized by Estonian national agency from 13th to 15th January 2017 as advisers. This was a large scale event, there more than 80 participants came together in project teams to put their ideas into project. Event took place in Peetri school, in Rae county (close to Tallinn) and lasted almost 48 hours in a row. We had also made advertisement for our youngsters, and four different teams were the ones whom ideas we helped to develop. Of course, actually we talked to most of teams, and tried to help to develop the ideas so they could be formed and written down in Erasmus+ application form. During the training course, 16 different projects were developed and as we heard, many projects are going to be applied either for February or April deadline. Fingers crossed that they will be approved!
On 11th of January we organized project writing training day in Tartu. During the event we talked about Seiklejate Vennaskond, Erasmus + opportunities and developed several project ideas with different youth groups who joined the event. We discussed the needs for their project ideas, set together SMART objectives and tried to match them with Erasmus + priorities. Feedback was shared to the ideas between different participating groups. We also took a closer look to frequently asked questions (by participants) and in the end introduced opportunities for the volunteers who would like to join in in making international partnerships. Event was very popular, as almost 50 people wanted to join, but due to our capacity, we could register only 35 participants. So for sure, we will repeat the event! :)
Training was facilitated by Heleri and Kristi, and supported by our lovely volunteers/mentors Birgit, Greete, Elen and Mariliis. Training information is available here. From 17th to 21st December 2016 the first kick-off meeting of partners took places in Tartu, Estonia. Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Romania, UK and Poland sent their coordinators to represent the partner organizations. Unfortunately Slovakia was not able to attend, but was included via online communication. Estonian coordinating organization was represented by two staff members.
We spent the first morning to get to know each other, introduce the organizations and build a strong network. To challenge ourselves, we visited the adventure park in Lõunakeskus and later on, tried out bowling, too. During the meeting we concentrated on our organizations, development needs and current challenges. All organizations presented their strengths and weaknesses, and set their aims where they want to reach. We gave each other suggestions and tips, and talked how we deal with different matters in our organization. Sharing best practices was inspiring for everyone. We also made workshops, to analyse how to improve quality of international projects in preparation, implementation, follow-up and evaluation phase. We agreed on the roles each partner is going to have in this strategic partnership, made a visibility plan and decided on next steps. Each partner set themselves concrete next steps for action plans in their countries. |
