Involve! Include! Improve!
To welcome our new EVS volunteers we organised a social event - a walk in the Peak District for them to get to know the area better and meet new people.
Movie Nights - October 2017
A Friend of Mine - 4/10 Little Miss Sunshine - 11/10 Children of Men - 18/10 This is England - 25/10 FB Events Went & Interested: 25&150 During the youth exchange organised by our foundation, we conducted workshops about tools which we use for non-formal education. We talked about our experience and we shared our experience in this field. We also presented our KA2 project and explained how the projects under the KA2 campaign - strategic partnership works. During work in small groups, we created plans about our future projects strategic partnership which we will be able to implement with our partners. Workshops helped to broaden the participants' horizons and show that the Erasmus + program is not just about youth exchanges but also a lot of activities that we as organizations can take to improve our skills. It was a very valuable experience for all of us.During the youth exchange organised by our foundation, we conducted workshops about tools which we use for non-formal education. In October, our organisation had the chance to present all about Erasmus+ to the students of Dicle University. We presented our organisation, when we were found and our organisation team, our work and our projects, which projects we have and which countries we have partnership with. We presented what exactly Erasmus+ is, who can be a part of the projects, how they can participate and what the advantages will be in their lives, if they participate in such projects.
In the last weeks, participants who participated in some of our projects organized some presentation about ADEL and Erasmus+ in their schools. Pictures from the presentations are from Edita Hlavacova and Veronika Gnipova
Today, we organized a meeting about "What is the Erasmus + program and how young people can participate in it". The meeting was attended by new members of our Foundation, who just started their adventure with the Erasmus + program.
During the meeting, we discuss about the ideas of the Erasmus + program, familiarized participants with the rules of participation and created the first plans for our next projects. During the meeting, we also learned about the methods of non-formal education and active forms for work with young people. Thanks to many promotional meetings which we held, our Foundation has more and more members who take part in project activities, actively participate in them and create new projects according to their own ideas. This year will be very busy for our us, but thanks to our partners 'and members' we will be able to overcome all challenges! :) The classes aimed to teach how to transfer on paper what can be observed from either nature or other paintings by focusing on design, shape, light and color. There were also guests who showed specific techniques such as comic, collage and engraving.
What better way to disseminate Erasmus+ opportunities, than through the ones who already did it before?
In October, the 3rd, together with the EVS volunteers, we organized Living library, adapted from the concept of Human Library. At a Human Library, instead of books, you can “borrow” people. People with unique life stories volunteer to be the “books.” For a certain amount of time, you can ask them questions and listen to their stories, The subject of the event was living abroad. There were 4 living books and inumerous readers. Our main goal was to encourage young people and the community to travel, live or study abroad, expanding horizons and combating stereotypes and prejudices about other cultures. At the same time we were promoting Erasmus+ opportunities, focusing on EVS. The readers got acquainted with four stories about volunteers that lived in Ukraine, Turkey, United Kingdom and Portugal. They shared about the challenges they faced while living in a different country, the benefits and how they overcomed obstacles. It was a really productive event. The readers were students from a local secondary school. They came with their teachers and friends and in an interactive way, got to know more about the programme and expressed their interest in having such experiences. We finished our event by making a small group discussion on how was the process of Living library, how the "books" felt and what new things the "readers" learnt. Our new group of EVS Volunteers arrived and we organised a meet up with the new volunteers, their mentors and previous EVS who still live in the UK. We posted this as a public gathering and welcomed anyone that wanted to learn more about EVS to join us.
