Involve! Include! Improve!
By the time we celebrated International Youth Day, both in Funchal city and in Câmara de Lobos, 12th of August, we took the chance to talk about our projects and exchanging good practices with other local organisations. On this day, we focused our attention in promoting EVS opportunities. At the event, there were ex-participants of the programme, new comers, and representatives from other organisations.
In September, at the Regional Meeting of Youth and Students organisations, we promoted not only EVS, but also exchanges and training courses. The events were a good opportunity to establish more local partnerships and find new volunteers. We live in a remote island, which makes it more difficult to have such opportunities as the ones that exists on the mainland. These events are important to disseminate the information about Erasmus+ programmes and other European funds that can help us, as organisation to give response to a variety of requests among our local young people. One of the major issues we face in Madeira is youth unemployment and providing such projects will be very helpful for their future. We are increasing the number of local and international partnerships and in a longer-term, we are sure, the number of young people attending these projects will be bigger. Comments are closed.
